Abstract |
Dry rainforest and wet Sclerophyll mapping undertaken early 2019 by EcoLogical Australia, contracted by Northern Inland Branch of NSW NPWS. Mapping dry rainforest is a direct strategy identified in the Saving our Species (SoS) project for the Mount Kaputar high elevation and dry rainforest land snail and slug community in the Nandewar and Brigalow Belt South Bioregions. Mapping dry rainforest will help NPWS understand the potential extent of this Threatened Ecological Community (TEC) and better target survey and management actions. VIS_ID 5112 |

Lineage |
A comprehensive analysis and classification of dry rainforest communities on the western slopes of NSW was undertaken by Tim Curran in 2006 for his PhD thesis (Curran TJ, Clarke PJ and Bruhl JJ 2008). A broad typology of dry rainforests on the western slopes of New South Wales. Cunninghamia 10, 381-405). The data producer used this thesis as a baseline for their project. A range of datasets were used in this project including high resolution (50 cm) stereo Airborne Digital Sensor (ADS40) imagery, digital surface models, existing vegetation mapping, drainage mapping, full floristic vegetation plot data and rapid data point (RDP) data. Post processing (addition and population of description field, label field and Area_HA field) completed by Tim Hulland. |
