Purpose |
The NABERS Energy Explorer allows users to conduct a home energy assessment to understand how they are currently using energy around the home to help them identify opportunities for improvement. The Energy Explorer measures and assesses household energy consumption by asking basic survey questions on home energy usage and using details from home energy bills. The tool uses algorithms that are normalised for house size and geographical location. The Energy Explorer assesses appliances and equipment in the home as well as occupant behaviour. It provides estimated energy consumption and running costs for heating, air conditioning, hot water, lighting and other appliances. The tool also provides a range of appropriate tips with estimated costs savings. |
