Abstract

The composition and extent of the present native vegetation, both remnant and modified, covered by the Booligal-Hay and Deniliquin-Bendigo (NSW portion) is described and mapped from aerial photography, field traverses and quantitative data from 94 sample sites. 21 vegetation communities ocurring within the mapped area are described. The entire study area covers 4,553,533 ha.

Vegetation mapped from quadrat samples, field traverses, aerial photography and LANDSAT Thematic Mapper satellite imagery. Published in Cunninghamia 3(1): 1-122 at a scale of 1:250,000. Digitising completed 1997 using Environmental - Resource Mapping System (ERMS) GIS. Errors corrected using ERMS prior to conversion to ArcView shapefile.
