Steve Bell undertook 46 survey sites in the Reserve.; ; Modelling:; Organisation of sample sites into groups according to floristic similarity and cover abundance using hierarchical polythetic agglomerative clustering. Species groups are also derived by this same process and the two combine to produce a two-way table of the data matrix. Dendograms then determine at what level of dissimilarity a community can be defined.; ; Vegetation Communities derived from PATN anlaysis of systematic floristic data (includes all vascular plants in each strata).; ; Survey Type:; Opportunistic/targeted: targeted sites with some opportunistic sites due to field conditions; Stratified random: Stratified by environmental variables: geology, soil landscapes, broad vegetation, topographic form, seaward exposure and fire regime.; Quadrat / transect: 20 by 20 metre quadrat; ; Information Collected:; Soil type, elevation, slope, aspect, physiographical position, full floristics, Braun-Blanquet cover abundance and vegetation structure; ; Strengths:; Vegetation surveys within the park are considered to be thorough enough for all variations in vegetation to have been detected.; ; Weaknesses:; No growth stage information, running PATN analysis using such a small number of sites has its limitations. |
