Repealed - State Environmental Planning Policy (State Significant Precincts) 2005

This is a repealed State Environmental Planning Policy and has been superseded by the State Environmental Planning Policy (Precincts – Eastern Harbour City) 2021 as part of the Department's initiative to consolidate State Environmental Planning Policies to simplify and provide certainty to the planning system. Provisions from this SEPP have been carried over in the following SEPPs:

This historical record contains the boundaries of sites listed in Schedule 3 of the SEPP and may include a planning regime information for Schedule 3 listed sites (e.g. zoning, building height controls, floor space ratio controls and heritage items/areas).

Purpose The aims of this Policy are as follows:(a) to facilitate the development, redevelopment or protection of important urban, coastal and regional sites of economic, environmental or social significance to the State so as to facilitate the orderly use, development or conservation of those State significant precincts for the benefit of the State,(b) to facilitate service delivery outcomes for a range of public services and to provide for the development of major sites for a public purpose or redevelopment of major sites no longer appropriate or suitable for public purposes.
