The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is the government agency responsible for protecting, supporting and developing regional NSW.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development works towards the twin objectives of growing primary industries and supporting regional economic development to deliver long term benefits to regional communities.

Collectively, we are responsible for: Local Land Services, NSW Resources, Agriculture and Biosecurity, Fisheries and Forestry, Regional Development and Delivery.

Together, we work to:
- build stronger primary industries
- drive regional investment and economic development
- oversee productive and sustainable land use and natural resources
- deliver regional infrastructure and grant programs
- help strengthen social cohesion.
